Patsey A. Simon, 79, of Montoursville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at UPMC Williamsport.

Born Aug. 5, 1942, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Maude A. (Crist) Houtz. Her husband of 50 years, Donald W. Simon, preceded her in death on March 2, 2011.

Patsey enjoyed reading, needle point, crocheting, gardening, making and painting ceramics, holiday gatherings, cookouts, fishing, buying and selling antiques, yard sales, flea marketing, writing short stories about her dog (Double Trouble) and collecting pokemon cards.

Surviving is a son, Dannie W. (Mystine) Simon of Montoursville; a sister, Judy L. Mills of Hughesville; three grandchildren, Daniel K., Shelby L. and Emily J. Simon.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patsey was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie L. Simon-Corely and by a sister, Rose M. Miller.

Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Pastor Doug W. Mellott officiating. Burial will follow in Elimsport Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
