Meredith Silverbach, 96, died peacefully at her home in Bel Air California on October 18, 2021. Meredith was born in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Retta Strantz on May 8, 1925. She was married for 44 years to Alan M. Silverbach. In 1944 Meredith and her sister (Lola) traveled to New York and became fashion models. Meredith went on to become a leader in the New York retail fashion industry when after her divorce from her first husband (John Nasht m. abt 1951, d. abt. 1960) she met the love of her life - Alan Silverbach. They traveled the world together. Meredith was preceded in death by her husband Alan in 2018, her son Peter Adlai Nasht (1953-2014), as well as her sister Lola Schiller (William Schiller) and brother Fred Heggi (Phyllis Heggi). She is survived by a stepson, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her love of life, travel, and entertaining will be remembered by all who loved her. On November 11, 2021 Meredith was laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park with her husband Alan.
