Sharon A. (Grondzik) Cooley, 72, of Wallingford, loving wife of the late Gregg M. Cooley, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at home unexpectedly of cardiac arrest.
Sharon was born in Annapolis, MD, August 12, 1949, the daughter of the late Matthew and Anna (Cannon) Grondzik. She was a longtime Meriden resident and '68 Platt High School graduate. Sharon had worked in Guest Services at the Oakdale Theatre for more than 25 years. She was a lifelong traveler, music lover, and movie buff.
She is survived by her two sons, Chris LaChance and his wife Shane, and Sean Cooley and his wife Christine; her grandchildren, Avery and Cameron LaChance; her brother, Matthew Grondzik and his wife Dolores; her nephew, Jeremy; and her niece, Monique. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Richard O'Day.
Sharon's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Saturday, January 8th, from 9:30am to 11:30am. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30am. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
