Robert E. Kowalski, 83, of Marinette, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area of Marinette, WI , surrounded by his family. He was born on September 15, 1938, to the late Edward and Violet (Belaire) Kowalski in Menominee, MI.
He graduated from Marinette High School in 1957 and studied for a year at NWTC.
He went on to serve his country in the United States Army.
On June 24, 1961, Bob married Roberta Johnson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marinette.
He earned his Master Plumber Certification in both Michigan and Wisconsin and had worked for Peninsula Piping Inc. for over 35 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Parish Council serving on the Fiancé Committee; Marinette Elks Lodge, the Board of Trustees of BAMC; and Board of Directors of Pineview Health Care.
Bob enjoyed building/fixing trailers, working in his shop, camping, and traveling.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta;
sons: Troy (Tina) Kowalski of Marinette, WI; Tim (Catherine) Kowalski of Brentwood, TN and Trent (Lisa) Kowalski of Delafield, WI;
grandchildren: Logan, Trey, Teig, and Lauren;
brothers and sister: Tom (Jean) Kowalski, Jean (Jim) Mooren and Ed Kowalski.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish – Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Monday, January 3rd from 2-4pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 4pm with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating.
