Dale Aulik, 58, Maribel died peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014. Dale's wife is the former JoAnn Samz who he married Sept. 27, 1980. Dale is further survived by his father, Woodrow Aulik; one sister, Ann and Scott Kinnunen, and her son, Jamie and Sara Aulik, and children, Bastille, Dayne, Billie Jean, and Everhett. Dale's in-laws are Joe and Audrey Samz. JoAnn's siblings are Mary and Mike Finnel, Barbara and Jim Retzlaff, Joe and Earlene Samz, Jeff Samz, and Tracy Samz. Other nieces and nephews are Christine Retzlaff, Angela Retzlaff and daughter, Stasya, Amy and Chris Byrnes, and sons, Alex and Gabe, Michael and Missy Finnel and daughters, Josie and Juliette, Emily Holder, and Hannah Samz, Carl and Joshua Samz, and other friends, relatives, and business associates. Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Aulik, his brother, Rick, his dear niece, Elizabeth, and infant sister-in-law, Kathleen.
Dale graduated from Mishicot High School in 1974, and owned and operated the family business, Woody's Auto Body Repair and Towing Service of Francis Creek since the 1980's. Dale loved anything that included fins, furs, feathers, leather and chrome. He loved being in his woods cutting and splitting wood. Dale was a member of the WACTAL, Wisconsin Auto Collision Technician Association Limited, serving on the Board of Directors and President. He was a Board Member and past President of the Manitowoc County Auto Body Association. Dale was a past member of the Advisory Board at LTC for the Auto Body Program. He was a member of the Maribel Sportsmans Club and Safari Club International. He was co-founder of an annual car show in Francis Creek that raised money for area youths.
Dale enjoyed a healthful life, working out at the local YMCA and Holy Family Memorial Wellness Center. He competed and was an award winning Amateur Body Builder. He so cared for his close Francis Creek friends, his motorcycle friends, and his many hunting and fishing companions with whom he and JoAnn traveled the State's and world. Dale worked hard and played hard. He was always ready for another Aulik Adventure-no regrets. Special thanks to Green Bay Radiology, Green Bay Oncology, physicians and staff, Dr. Anthony Jaslowski, Marcy Godlewski FNP and Dr. James Leenstra and staff, and also a thank you to Unity Hospice, and much appreciation for the staff and colleagues of JoAnn's at HSHS St. Mary's, St. Vincent, and Prevea Clinic of Green Bay.
Relatives and friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. A private family memorial service will be held.
