Mrs. Davey T. Jennings, 21, of Tyler, the former Miss Gloria Sue Whitaker of Paris, died Wednesday Nov 9, 1966 at 5:45 p.m. of heart problems, in Methodist Hospital at Houston, which she had entered Monday. She had been in failing health about four years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Whitaker, 320 9th SE here, and was married in Paris at First Baptist Church, Oct. 5, 1963. She and Mr. Jennings, a Pittsburg Glass Company employe, had lived since then in Wichita Falls and Fort Worth before his transfer to Tyler a year ago, their residence being 2208 Airline Drive. The funeral, Saturday Nov 12, 1966 at 11 a.m., will be conducted in Paris at Fry & Gibbs chapel by Dr. James Semple of First Baptist Church and Dr. Ronald Prince, now of Abilene. Burial is arranged in Evergreen Cemetery. Born in Vallejo, Calif., Sept. 26, 1945. Mrs. Jennings was reared in Paris, attending First Ward and Paris High schools. In Tyler, she was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, its women's society and Couples Class. Surviving are her father; her mother, the former Wilma Moore; her husband; a sister, Mrs. Robert Rose, Franklin, Ky., and a brother, Neil Whitaker, Paris, and several other relatives. no children.
