Olvin M. Whitaker, 54, of 516-4th NW, Ill for some time, died Monday Feb 3, 1964 at 4:55 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a used car dealer. Services, Wednesday Feb 5 at 2:30 p.m. will be conducted in Gene Roden & Sons chapel by the Rev. J.L. Wideman of Sumner and the Rev. James Semple of First Baptist Church. Interment is arranged in Meadowbrook Gardens here. Relatives of Mr. Whitaker will be at the funeral home between 7 and 8 p.m. Tuesday to receive friends. Mr. Whitaker leaves his wife, the former Miss Lura Cloud, his mother, now Mrs. Willie Davis, and these brothers, Thomas Whitaker and Hugh Whitaker, all of Paris, and Hubert Whitaker. Fort Worth, besides a sister, Mrs. H.W. Battles, Los Angeles, Calif. Born March 8, 1909 in Lamar County, Olvin Marion Whitaker was a son of the late Phelix (Ed) Whitaker and the former Miss Willie Harbin. He was a Baptist. They had no children.
