Mrs. W. R. Turner Dead
Mrs. W. R. Turner who has been very ill the past few weeks, passed away at her home in Adair Wednesday morning at about 12 o'clock. Funeral services occur this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by Rev. F. A. Smith and Rev. Louis Watson.

Mrs. Agnes Van Epps was born in New York state April 22, 1852 and died in Adair, Iowa May 10, 1916. Her age being 64 years and 18 days. She was united in marriage to W. R. Turner December 17, 1873 in Cedar county, Iowa. To this union nine children were born, six of whom preceded her in infancy to the better land. There are three living children: John E. and William R. Turner of Adair and Mrs. Etta B. Kennedy of Spokane, Washington. There is one sister, Mrs. Emma Ayers and two brothers, Chas. Van Epps of Wilton Junction and Elmer Van Epps of Crawfordsville, Oregon. There are seven grandchildren and a host of friends.
Mrs. Turner united with the Methodist Episcopal church when she was ten years of age, and has been a faithful christian all these years. As a wife and mother Mrs. Turner was a helpful helpmate and guided her children whom she loved as a true mother. Her neighborly spirit was recognized by all who knew her and to those who visited in her home there was always a desire to return.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church by the pastor, Rev. F. A. Smith, and Rev. Louis Watson of Earlham. Interment occurred in Sunny Hill cemetery. Mrs. Turner will be greatly missed among her circle of friends and associates and she will ever be held in highest esteem by all who have known her.
