Millie Cooper, assistant postmistress of Manson, became demented last Thursday and jumped from a railroad bridge into the Des Moines river at Ft. Dodge, a distance of forty feet, sustaining no injuries.

Millie Cooper, the postmistress clerk at Manson, who recently leaped from the I. C. bridge over the Des Moines river at Ft. Dodge, and was rescued with slight injuries, placed the muzzle of the 22 caliber rifle in her mouth and fired a fatal shot last Friday. Insanity is hereditary in the Cooper family.
