Orlan W. Holmes, 71, Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Orlan was born on October 31, 1950, in Spokane, WA, to Millard and Michael "Kay" (Emmert) Holmes. His parents preceded him in death.

Orlan was a 1969 graduate of Creston High School in Washington. He retired as a computer tech. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Community in Fort Wayne. He was an avid bowler and an advocate for many foundations such as, COPD Foundation, Alpha 1-Foundation; Donate Life America, Better Breathers Club and the Cleveland Clinic.

Orlan is survived by his long-time partner, Patti Mullins, Huntington, IN; five daughters, Elisa Mudd, Huntington, Dawn Holmes, Coldwater, MI, Heather (Adam) Parra, Crystal Holmes, Heidi (Shawn) Crosson, all of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by one sister, Marlena Guhlke, WA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Malvina Holmes.

To honor the wishes of Orlan there will be no services or calling hours.

A private graveside and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to COPD Foundation or Donate Life America in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N Jefferson Street, Huntington IN 46750.
