Funeral for Joe Lee Burnett, 54, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday May 16 in Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Forest Keener officiating. Mr. Burnett died Friday May 13 1988 of Diabetes, in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Ritter-Dalton Funeral Home. He was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Paris, TX. He grew up in Hugo, and lived in Manhattan, Kan., for three years. He moved to Lawton in 1962 where he was employed by Milo Gordon Chrysler-Plymouth Inc. He was a member of the Lawton Antique Auto Club and the Disabled American Veterans. He married Josephine Burnett Feb. 9, 1955, in Hugo. Survivors include his mother, Juanita Burnett, Hugo; his wife, of the home; a son David Wayne, Milford, Penna.; two daughters; Delenna Gayle Burnett, Lawton; Michele Janease Burnett, Lawton; a brother, Bobby Don, Denison, TX.; and one grandchild.
