Charles M. Linzmeier, age 77, of Hortonville passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at ThedaCare in Appleton.

Charles was born on February 5, 1943, in Green Bay to the late Charles and Margaret (Simonar) Linzmeier. He was united in marriage to Rita Bloch on April 23, 1988. She preceded him in death in 2016.

Charles is survived by his children, Christine Terens, Gerald Smith Jr. and Timothy (Jan) Smith; grandchildren, Amber, Scott, Joshua, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Calvin; great-grandchildren, Kasper, Ariya, Sophia, Nathan, Jakobi, Iverson, Meredith and Vahhley; brothers, George Linzmeier, Michael (Betty) Linzmeier, Richard (Virginia) Linzmeier and James; sister, Francis and sister-in-law, Betty.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; parents; brothers, Lawrence, Clarence, Albert, Robert, Anthony and Donald; sisters, Laura and Dorothy and grandson, Nathan Terens.

The funeral for Charles will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home (109 W. Main St.) in Hortonville. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park (3131 N Richmond St.) in Appleton.
