At the age of 92, she is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bankston and her husband, Ross, of Grenada; granddaughter, Laurie Bankston Cooper and her husband, Whit, and great-granddaughter, Maddie Marie Cooper, all of Olive Branch; sister, Faye Oakes of Grenada; brother, William G. Herbert and his wife, Mary, and niece Melissa Lynch and her husband, Neal, all from Alcolu, South Carolina; and her neice Gayle Barwick and her husband, Trey, of Holdrege, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Mattie Marie "Doll" Herbert from Carroll County.
Frances was buried at Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Carroll County on May 13, 2017 in a private ceremony.
Bro. Albert Britt performed the graveside service. Pallbearers were Ray Britt, Albert Britt, Phil Clements, Kirk Clements, and Ross Bankston.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announce.
