Mark Gerald Ciletti was born in Belleville, New Jersey, on August 14, 1964, to Stanley John Ciletti and Annamae Briante Ciletti; both of whom preceded him in death. Mark passed peacefully September 7, 2021, following a courageous 16 month battle with Glioblastoma, a terminal form of brain cancer, a disease he fought with the same strength, courage, and determination he displayed throughout his life. Mark attended St. Frances Xavier Catholic School before transferring to Bloomfield High School where he graduated in 1982. Mark's knowledge of auto mechanics began in his Uncle's garage where he spent many happy hours developing his interest. No one was surprised, that following high school, Mark enrolled in a trade school that would in time lead to his own automotive shop. As often happens, our lives can take an unexpected turn when we meet someone who changes everything. So, it was for Mark when in 1989, he met Kelsy, a flight attendant from Texas. They married in 1993 and moved to Humble where Mark made a career shift, working first for Copperfield and later for Spec's becoming an operations manager. He continued to work until his illness forced him to resign. Working in the fine wines industry was a natural fit for one who grew up in an extended Italian family. With the births of his sons, Garrett and Ryan, Mark became a doting father. As the boys grew, so did their interests, and Mark found himself with years of weekends devoted to baseball tournaments and swim meets. For Garrett, he became the teams' "Dugout Dad" while he and Ryan spent time at the shooting range or working on the classic car Mark was rebuilding. Mark loved nothing better than to travel with his family. Cruising and trips to the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii and Europe, were some of the many vacations they enjoyed. Of special significance was visiting San Giorgio La Molara, Italy, the birthplace of his grandparents. Meeting distant relatives for the first time and introducing his sons to their heritage was especially meaningful. A man of many interests, Mark enjoyed photography, skiing, riding his motorcycle, NASCAR and the Houston Astros. Weekends would find him at his smoker, where he made the world's best pulled-pork. Mark was not a complicated man; he spoke his mind and always let you know where he stood. His strong work ethic and engaging smile easily endeared him to others. Even though the last 26 years of his life were spent in Texas, he valued his New Jersey roots and the life-long friends he considered brothers. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 28 years Kelsy and their children, Garrett and Ryan; his brother Dr. Stanley Ciletti, wife Stephanie and son Matteo; Mother and Father-in-law Shirley and Jerry Jackson; Sister-in-law Susannah Jenner, husband Todd, and daughter Brittany; and a host of additional family and friends
