Angela Louise McGowan, 59 of Gastonia, NC, died Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center following a prolonged illness. She was a native of Seffner, Florida. She was a devoted mother of five children.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine Taylor, her sister Cynthia Davis, and her son Nicholas.
She is survived by her husband Ray McGowan, son Aaron Davis and daughters Erica McGowan, Kayla Thomassie, and Anna McGowan. She also leaves behind her twin sister Toni Whisnant and sister Joan Lanier. She was the proud grandparent of Kendall, Temperance, Kaitlyn, and Nicholas.
Amongst the many extended family members of Angela grieving her loss are nieces and nephew Nichole Butler, Anthony Whisnant II, Emily Lanier and Meleah Lanier, brother-in-law Anthony Whisnant, Kyle Taylor, and family Lois Allen, Tina Burchfield, Star Burchfield, Ronnie, Haley and Cassie Bumgardner, Brandis Taylor, Jena Carpenter, Shaundasia Smith, Dalton Grant, David Stroupe, Slade Hinkle, Anthony and Anthony Butler and McGowan Family of Texas.
