New London, NH-Irene (Albert) Donoghue, 91, of County Road, New London died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at The Clough Center. She was born in Fort Kent, ME on Oct. 28, 1913 the daughter of Maxime and Elise (Nadeau) Albert. She had been a secretary for Sloane's Furniture Company in Stamford, CT and a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Ridges, Wine, and Spirits. She lived in Stamford, CT before moving to Sunapee, NH in 1980 and then to The Clough Center in 2004. Mrs. Donoghue was a former member of the Stamford Yacht Club. She was an avid reader. Her husband, George Donoghue, died in 1987. Members of her family surviving include two daughters, Jeanne Sullivan of Bonita Springs, FL and Georgette Sullivan of Naples, FL; three grandsons, George Curt of Sunapee, NH, Timothy Curt of New Canaan, CT and Christopher Sullivan of Norwalk, CT; five great grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Jennifer, Sarah, and Jake; a brother, Gerard Albert of Stamford, CT; nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held in Eastman Cemetery, Sunapee, NH.
