James E. Allred with his parents (William & Lila Allred), brothers (Aaron C. Allred, Thomas J. Allred, Cavalier F. Allred), and sisters (Elizabeth Allred Fisher & Paralee Allred Durr) arrived in Louisiana from Tennesse in the early 1840's.
James lived in Sabine Pr., LA in 1850, and in Natchitoches Pr. LA in 1860.
He was married to Mary Carmichael who died between 1855-60.
They were parents of two daughters: Mary Lettie (Mrs. Alfred L. Dew) & Naomi A. (Mrs. George W. Parker).
