(Not her obituary, but a short bio)

Catherine was born on May 25, 1832, near Coles Island in Queens County, NB.

Catherine first married Frederick Hurder during the mid-1850s and had one daughter together in 1857 named Mary Jane [my 2x great grandmother]. By 1861, Catherine was a widow. Frederick Hurder's death date is currently unconfirmed.

Catherine later remarried to George Barnett [originally Barrett] in the mid-1860s and resided in Prince William in York County for the next several years where she had a large family.

By 1891, George and Catherine Barnett and their family moved to Bright Parish. George Barnett died before the 1911 Canadian census was created. Catherine died on April 9, 1915, at her residence in Beckwith Ridge (located near Howland Ridge) at the age of 82.

At this time, I am currently unable to find any information to confirm where Catherine and her husband George Barnett are buried. I believe she is most likely buried in the Millville Cemetery because the cemetery is located near Howland Ridge in Millville, which had about 100 burials at the time of her death. The church across the Millville Cemetery is a Baptist church, which was Catherine's religious domination at the time.

If anyone has any information regarding Catherine Barnett or her family, please send me a message.
