Billy Joe earned his Master's degree and worked in the Education field for twenty nine years. He retired as a principal. Billy Joe and Frances were married for seventy four years. During the marriage they had two sons, Allan, and Lyndsey. Billy Joe was an avid golfer. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Billy Joe's family will miss him and remember their memories with love and laughter.
Billy Joe is survived by his loving wife, Frances Walling of McKinney TX; son, Lyndsey Walling and his wife, Marie of Harrisburg, PA; two grandchildren, Shawn Walling and wife Karlee of McKinney, TX, and Lauren Walling of Lexington, KY; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Addison, and Owen.
Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Mason, and Allie Walling; son, Allan Walling, brothers, Leo Walling, and Clyde Walling; sisters, Maxine Turner, and Melva Jean Lyles.
Visitation will be held 1:00PM-2:00PM, Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Slay Memorial Chapel of Pilot Point. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00PM, at Pilot Point Community Cemetery in Pilot Point, TX with Brad Shotts officiating.
