Elaine M. Knox, 84, died, Monday, January 24, 2022, at her home. Elaine was born February 27, 1937, in Cherryfield, Maine, the daughter of Andrew and Geraldine (Morse) Ashe, she was adopted and raised by Walter and Marcia Arnold. Elaine married Raymond Knox; he preceded her in death.
Elaine is survived by her children, Brian Stubbs, Knoxville, Walter Stubbs (deceased),
Rodney Stubbs (deceased), Vicki (Mike) Pelrine, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Greg Reed (Lori Thornton), Peoria Heights, Illinois; stepchildren, Kenny Knox, Lori Frame; grandchildren, Devin (Sara Engel) Stubbs; Amanda (Brian) Forrest; Jason Coulter (Emily Schaeffer), Josh Stubbs; Kyle Harman, Mystic (Eric) Park; Michelle (Thomas) Clark, Jessica Reed; great grandchildren, Tucker and Trapper Forrest, AJ Coulter, Crimson Harman, Hunter Park, Tiernan Park, Harrison Reed, Lucas Clark, Vaida Clark (deceased), and Alexis Stewart; and her siblings, Andrew Ashe, Jr. (deceased) Gary Ashe (deceased), Hazel Gray (deceased) Andrea (John) Steele, Boxborough, Mass. and Stewart Ashe (deceased) and her dearest friends, Pud, Kate, Lori, Jan, and Gene.
Elaine worked at Pekin Hospital and Graham Hospital, Canton as a surgical nurse, Bob White Chiropractor, Knoxville, and Spoon River Home Health, from where she retired. She enjoyed her cat, PC, and traveling. She loved cooking pies, fudge, making food for funerals and bringing extra food to get togethers. She enjoyed shopping for the finer, classy things.
Burial will be private in Midway Cemetery, London Mills, IL. Memorials may be made for a fund to be established for her cat, PC.
