Evelyn Mae Anenson
May 25, 1926 - January 04, 2022

Evelyn Anenson passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2020, at the age of 95.

Evelyn, known to most as "Evie," was born on May 25, 1926, in Alhambra, California. She was the youngest of five sisters. She married George G. Strasser, who was a Special Agent of the FBI, in February of 1949. They had four children, George, Paul, Mary, and Peter.

Husband George died suddenly in 1962, leaving Evie a 35-year-old widow with four young children. Evie's resilience and optimism, her Catholic faith, some dear neighbors, and the extended FBI family, helped Evie successfully raise her four children into adulthood.

Evie worked for several years at Burlingame Intermediate School as the secretary to the school psychologist. She taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine religion classes at Our Lady of Angels parish in Burlingame for several years.

Later in her life, Evie married Kenneth Anenson, a widower who was a retired FBI agent. Together they traveled to Europe and to ex-FBI conventions around the country. Ken and Evie spent many happy years together in the 80's and 90's, and then Ken also passed away.

Evie's son Paul, and a grandson, William, preceded Evie in death. She is survived by three children (George Strasser of Fresno, Mary Hartley of Sacramento, Peter Strasser of Tucson), eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, plus one more great-grandchild whose birth is expected in April. Evie is also survived by many nephews and nieces who were dear to her.

Evie was loved deeply by her family and friends. She was gregarious, open-minded, cheerful, sensitive to the needs of people around her, and fun to be around. Her children will forever be in awe of her positive view of life and love.
