Officers identified them as Hugh A. Andrews, 49, and Mrs. Myrtle Price Andrews, 48.
Critically injuried in the crash was John E. Johnson, 28 year old of Jackson, Miss. He was treated here and then transferred to a Jackson Hospital.
Officers said the accident occurred hen Johnson swerved his produce truck around a road grader into the path of the Andrews car. Culpable negligence charges were filed against him.
Mr. & Mrs. Andrews had been accompanied on the Texas trip by their daughter and son-in-law Mr. & Mrs. A. S. Kyzer, Jr. of Vicksburg, Miss. They has left the Kyzer home this morning.
Mrs. Andrews, 69, the former Myrle Price of Gilbert, daughter of H. M. and Mrs. Evelyn Wingard Price and was a life-long resident of Lexingon County.
Surviors include one son, Jerome Andrews of Washington; one daughter, Mrs. an Kyzer of Vicksburg, Miss., her parents; daughter; six sisters, Lorett Koon , Mrs. J. P. Andrews and Mrs. Lois Caughman of West Columbia, Mrs. Rose Hanock of Cayce, and Mrs. Ida Ostendorff and Mrs. Lola Kyzer of Charleston and three brothers, Ray and Ansel Price of Gilbert and Shuford Price of Lexington.
