Born June 1, 1929 in Rusk, Texas passed away surrounded by her beloved family and friends on January 29, 2011 in Balch Springs, Texas at the age of 81 years. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Edward B. Smith; sons Steven & Cecilia Smith of Balch Springs, TX and James & Judy Smith of Mesquite, TX; daughters: Dorothy Marlene & Harvill David, Linda & Gary Bryant, Carol Dodds and Vivian McCoy from Balch Springs, TX; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. "June Bug" loved to crochet, cook, bake, play guitar and sing in the church. Her baked goods were always the first to sell! She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed.
