Enlisted in Company A of the 2nd Florida Infantry on the 10th day of April, 1861. While in the Infantry, on March 4, 1862, he was taken prisoner and carried to Hilton Head. On July 2, 1862, he was taken to Governors Island, NY. He died a few days later of a fever.
