Albert E. Zambone, a resident of Vineland for 76 years, died Tuesday night at Newcomb Hospital after a brief illness. He was 78 and lived at 1122 east Landis ave.
Born in Camden, Mr. Zambone operated a store in Bridgeton until his retirement in 1965. A veteran of the fighting in Europe in World War I, he was a member of the Theodore Roosevelt post of the American Legion and the Sacred Heart Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Corsiglia Zambone; a son, Albert, of Greenwich; a daughter, Mary Louise Ilvonen, of Philadelphia; a sister, Mary Maretti, of Vineland, and two grandchildren.
Communion will take place at Sacred Heart Church on Friday at 9 a.m., to be followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours at the Wainwright Funeral Home. For those who so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
