Ama G. Aliff was born June 26, 1949 in Beckley, WV to the late Tracy and Gladys Stover. She peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Beckley at the age of 72. Ama was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Gladys Stover; brothers-in-law, Waldo Aliff, Lloyd Aliff, and Pete Broyles; sisters-in-law, Debbie Meadows and Marie Clay. Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Wayne Kescle Aliff, and their son, Warren Kescle Aliff and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Andrew Brandt and wife, Jennifer, Kathryn Brandt, Kandace Aliff, Eric Halstead, and wife, Sarah, Luke Berry and Lindsey Berry; sisters-in-law, Gretna Adkins, Anita Williams and husband, Roger, and Venetta Broyles; brother-in-law, James Aliff and wife, Sandy. Ama had 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Loretta Elmore. Ama was born in Beckley and grew up in Maynor, WV. She married the love of her life July 20, 1969 and had their son in 1970. She worked and retired from Verizon Telephone Company following 31 years of service. Ama loved to travel; gardening, canning, her flower garden, swimming, spending time with her family; attending her church and her church family at New Prospect Baptist Church. Ama loved her life. A Memorial Service celebrating Ama's life will be 2:00PM Sunday, November 14, 2021 at New Prospect Baptist Church, Sweenysburg Road, Sweenysburg, WV with Pastor Gary Williams officiating. Following the services Ama will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
