Phillip M. Alley, 72, of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Chippenham Medical Center. Born August 3, 1949, in Hopewell, Virginia, he was the son of the late Raymond George and Geraldine Lewis Alley, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret D. Alley.

Phillip was a United States Air Force veteran and retired after 50 years as a radio announcer.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Warthan; a niece, Sherry Warthan; a nephew, Brad Warthan and wife Becky; and a great-nephew Judah Warthan.

Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Phillip. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Note: although Phil's name is on marker shared with Margaret/Maggie, because of location where he died and subsequent cremation, it has not yet been settled if his family will send the cremains to Idaho. However, he and Margaret are finally reunited!
