Anthony Thomas Modany, 19, of Midland passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at The Medical Center, Beaver.

Born Aug. 28, 1988, in Brighton Twp., he is survived by his father, Thomas G. Modany, Ohioville, and his mother and her husband, Lisa A. and Thomas Mackey, East Liverpool, Ohio. He was currently employed at J.R.'s Pizza, in Industry and was a member of the St. Blaise Parish Family, Midland.

Anthony was a free spirit and loved life, those he touched became his friends and his friends were an important part of his life. He was a wonderful son and as the oldest child, he was a special big brother. He will be sadly missed by his family including his parents; two brothers, Gregory and Andrew Modany; a sister, Courtney Modany; his step-brothers and sisters, Tommy, Bobby, Tricia and Becky Mackey; his paternal grandparents, Albert and Julia Modany, Ohioville; maternal grandparents, Tom and Liz Blair, Midland; numerous aunts and uncles including Tricia and Dave Glass; his godmother and aunt, Kathleen M. Flanagan, Pittsburgh; and many friends including, his special friends, John Vojnovich and Crystal Ulizio, both of Midland. Preceding Anthony in death was a close friend, Dan Tiberio.
