William E. Mason
William Eugene Mason, 89, of Southfield, formerly of Royal Oak until 1954, died Thursday, June 11, 1992, at his home. He was born Dec. 22, 1902, in Lansing.
Mr. Mason had been a south Oakland County resident since 1930. He had worked for General Die Casting, Oak Park, and was a former partner in the business.
Surviving are his sons, Ronald E. of Warren and Gerald L. of Traverse City; daughters, Martha M. Mueller of Royal Oak and Barbara (Robert) Lovejoy of West Newbury, Mass.; sister, Julia Long of Essexville; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mason's wife, Elva (DeHart), whom he married in Lansing in 1930, died May 23, 1985. His son-in-law, Bernard G. Mueller, died in 1975.
Visitation, 1-9 p.m. today at William Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile, Royal Oak; rosary, 8 p.m. today at the funeral home; prayers, 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Ives Church, 29350 Lahser, Southfield; burial, Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.
