Funeral services for Mrs. Wardell Hawkins, 50, Ridgeland, will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. from Ridgeland Methodist Church with Rev. C. Harold Fleming, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church officiating, assisted by Rev. George Currey, pastor of Ridgeland Methodist church. The body will be at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home until 2:30 p.m. Monday then be taken to the church to lie in state from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Mrs. Hawkins was a native of Williams, Tenn., and had lived in Ridgeland for the past 19 years. She was a member of the Ridgeland Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Woman's Society of Christian Services. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Her survivors are her husband, Wardell Hawkins of Ridgeland; two sons, Willard Hawkins, Chalmette, La., and Durell Hawkins, of Ridgeland; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Plesant of Terry, Miss Trudy Hawkins and Miss Almarie Hawkins of Ridgeland; three brothers, J. D. Parman of Port Gibson, Frank Parman, Ft. Sumter, S. C, and William Hugh Parman of Greely, Colo.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe E. Richardson, George Covington, Erick Henderson, C. C. Burns, Robert Parman and Wallace Parman.
