Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m Saturday at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
Helen was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary Jane (Walker) Inglis. She graduated from Ames High School in 1937. She married Wayne Olinger on Nov. 23, 1940, in Chillicothe, Mo.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and a former deacon, a member of Order of Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls. She loved her husband and family and grandchildren and enjoyed poetry, butterflies, nature and Bible reading.
Helen is survived by her husband, Wayne of Nevada; three sons, Dave (Sue) Olinger of Eau Claire, Dean (Cindy) Olinger and Dan Olinger, both of Ames; four daughters, DeLories (Alton) Carsrud of Nevada, Mary (Ron) Pauley of LaGrange, Ga., Janice (Jim) Cook of Zearing, Iowa, and Harriet (Ed) Flick of San Pedro, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson, Wade Pauley; a brother, James Inglis; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Sarsfield and Winifred Inglis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada.
