Allen Virgil Grogan was born on May 26, 1917 on a farm in Chanarambie Twsp. Murray Co. MN to Charles and Lena Zimmerman Grogan. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school district #94. Allen never married and farmed with his brothers, Bill and Nick, living on the same farm all of his life. He was an associate member of trinity Lutheran Church in Chandler. He loved to visit his neighbors, liked reading and spending time raising chickens and chicks. He passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 1, 1988 at the age of 71.
Survivors include one brother and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Smith of Sibley, IA, Woodrow (Bill) of Chandler and Fern, Mrs. Orville Gunderson of Lake Wilson and several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clarence, Emmet (Nick) and Charles.
