Mrs. Griggs Dies at 83
Mrs. Eloise S. Griggs, 83, of 94 Welton St., died Tuesday at Middlesex General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of John E. Griggs Sr.
Born in New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella DeHart Fischer (s.i.c. - should be Fisher).
Mrs. Griggs had been employed by Johnson & Johnson, retiring in 1956.
Surviving are a son, John E. Jr., of Woodstock, Vt.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Gutman of Seagirt; two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am at the Quackenboss Funeral Home, 156 Livingston Ave., with the Rev. Eugene Speckman, pastor of The Six Mile Run Reformed Church of Franklin Park.
Interment will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery, North Brunswick.
