Thursday Rites For W. J. Adams

Funeral services for W. J. Adams, 79, retired farmer, who died in Memorial hospital Tuesday, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Corley Chapel with burial in the Dresden Cemetery.

Husband of Ona (Sumner) Adams; son of Robert Bell "Cap" Adams and Cynthia Matilda (Claibourne) Adams.

The rites were conducted by Clovis Allen, Church of Christ minister.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ona Adams, Route 1, Corsicana; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Scruggs, Corsicana; two sons, B. H. Adams, Bells, Wis. and R. W. Adams, Blooming Grove; a sister, Mrs. Jeanette Taylor, Corsicana; three brothers, Bob Adams, Kingsville, and Ben Adams, Corsicana; four grandchildren and other relatives.

Pallbearers are John L. Woodland, Billy Woodland, Ray Alderman, Ralph Summer, Clovis Haden and Henry Slate.
