Mrs. Doris A. Wilson was born to the late Leroy Wilson, Sr. and the late Lena Mae Gordon Wilson Davis on July 6, 1947 in Moultrie, Georgia. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center and transitioned into her heavenly home of peace and rest. She was 74 years old.
Doris, affectionately known as "Big D" dedicated her life to serving God, Family, and her community. She was a proud graduate of William Bryant High School, class of 1966. She was a devoted member of Fifth Street Church of God.
She worked many years in the food service industry; at Charlie A. Gray Middle School, Colquitt Regional Medical Center and Georgia Baptist Conference Center. Doris was also an entrepreneur who operated her own catering business for many years.
She had a servant's heart and constantly gave back and provided for many in the foster and health care system. Even up to her passing, she cared for clients in her home.
Doris was preceded in death by; her parents; three brothers, Willie Roy Wilson, Leroy Wilson, Jr., and Johnny Wilson; and one loving sister, Thelma Kennon.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; four sisters, Annie Clayton (Thomas), Janie McGirt, Annie Lewis (Ferris) and Angela Rodney (Rupert); one brother, Calvin Wilson (Brenda); her children, Andra Bridges (Kimberly), Anthony Bridges (Brenda), Willie Lee Goodson, Jimmy Lee Goodson, Willie James Goodson, Andrew Coston, Mac McArthur, Natasha Green, Jada Owens, Suzanne Wilson, Doris Tanyette Green, Yvette Green, Wilmer Tee Green, Willissa Wilson, Cabrik (Blossom) Harrison and Shakira Wilson; thirty-seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
