Oh Elliott. How do I describe you in words? I'll try my best.

I first met Elliott at the Animal Friends Connection sanctuary. I was fostering other dogs for the rescue when I learned Elliott had been living at the sanctuary for 4 years waiting for his forever home. I just couldn't imagine Elliott never having his own family. I had to work slowly to gain his trust because he did not trust people. He was rescued from a horrific beginning, being kicked and left alone in a dark closet. For the first year at the sanctuary he just hid under a desk and shook with fear. But slowly he ventured out and two teenage boys became his angels. These boys (Kameron and Kolton, I believe were their names) took the time to love Elliott and help him trust again.

On December9, 2013 Elliott came home with me as my foster. Elliott had so many quirks from PTSD that made him hard to adopt. My husband was Elliott's Angel too because I don't know any men who would have put up with a dog like Elliott. Anytime I was lying in bed Elliott would charge at my husband, nipping him as my husband tried to get in bed. As soon as his daddy laid down Elliott was perfectly fine with his dad. Elliott loved, loved, loved the attention he got between us and slept in between our heads.

Elliott was always my guard dog. I was his mom and he wasn't going to let anything bad happen to me. Every time I used the bathroom he'd come in and turn toward the door to guard me lol

Whenever Elliott was very happy he'd run around to find a stuffed toy and make it squeak-squeak. It was the cutest thing ever!

Elliott is survived by his human mom, dad, sister and auntie. He's also survived by his fur brothers, Kory and Buster, and his cousins Tina and Karma.
