EUNICE~ On Friday, February 11, 2022, Sharlene Marie Fontenot passed away at Mercy Regional Hospital in Ville Platte at the age of 68 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2021, at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Korey LaVergne, officiating.

Sharlene was born in Lafayette to Gordon and Roberta Leger LeJeune on August 24, 1953. She was a retired Paraprofessional from Eunice Junior High School. Sharlene was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother. She had an infectious smile and she loved playing cards. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving husband, of fifty years, Terry Wayne Fontenot, Sr of Eunice; son, Terry Wayne Fontenot, Jr and wife, Candace of Iota; daughter, Kimberly Stagg and husband, Jason of Eunice; three brothers, Gene LeJeune and wife, Claudia of Toledo Bend, TX, Terry LeJeune of Denton, TX and Leonard LeJeune and wife, Lupe of Pasadena, TX; two sisters, Bernadine Breaux of Pine Hurst, TX and Pansy Landry of Iota. The four joys of her life, her grandchildren, Grant Michael Fontenot, Carson Eli Fontenot, Hunter Stagg and Lauren Stagg. Sharlene will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, infant sister, Barbara Nell LeJeune, Kenneth LeJeune , Brenda Dietz and Roy LeJeune.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, February 14th from 12 noon until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, February 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Monday.
