Claudy Milford Starnes of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 21, 2021 at the age of 87. He was born on December 7, 1933 to George Lowell and Lula Mae (Potter) Starnes in Culleoka, Texas. Claudy grew up in Culleoka and later in McKinney. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Claudy owned and operated Starnes Plumbing until 2019 when he retired and turned his business and legacy over to his son and grandsons. He loved studying the bible. Claudy was a member at First Baptist Church Lucas where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also involved in the bus ministry and sang in the choir. Claudy loved greyhounds and loved hunting with them as well.

Claudy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Starnes and Kenneth Starnes; sister, Lorene Woods.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
