Giuseppa Armetta, 84, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday,
January 22, 2022 at her home. Born in Carini Province of Palermo, Sicily, Giuseppa
came to the United States in 1957. She resided in Brooklyn for 39 years before
moving to Bridgewater 22 years ago.
Giuseppa ran her business in Long Beach for 15 plus years. She enjoyed cooking,
baking, gardening, sewing and canning tomato sauce every year. She was a
devout Catholic and nothing was more important to her then spending quality
time with her family, especially during the holidays.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother - John Lucido, her sister -
Marianna Evola and her loving husband of 42 years, Antonio Armetta, who passed
away in 1999.
She is survived by her two sons - Vincent Armetta, together with his wife Maria,
and Anthony Armetta, her daughter - Rosalie Armetta, her granddaughters –
Gabriella and Vanessa, and her many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 26, from 4-8pm at the Branchburg
Funeral Home: 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at
9:15am. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, January 27 at 10am at Blessed
Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard
Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
