HIGHTSTOWN, April 17 - The funeral services of the late Enoch Perrine, AM, LLD, were held Wednesday in Lewisbury, PA. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, Thursday afternoon. Dr Perrine was born in Hightstown and many of his friends were at the grave to pay their tribute of respect. Mr Perrine was born here November 18, 1853, and was a graduate of the public school and the 1870 class at Peddie. He was graduated from Brown in 1874 with Phi Beta Kappa honors. At one time, soon after his graduation, he was on the editorial staff of the Trenton True American. From 1877 to 1885, he was an instructor at Peddie, and no alumnus, former teacher, or friend of Peddie is so well known to Hightstown people or the Peddie people from 1885 to the time of this death, he was head of the Department of English at Bucknell. He was married and employed as a teacher at a university. He was the son of Joseph Perrine and Abagail Appleget, both born in New Jersey. The informant was Mrs. Enoch Perrine or Lewisburg, PA.
