Mrs. Fred Hart Killed

Former Arkansas City Woman in Accident at Bovens, Texas.

The news of the accidental death of Mrs. Fred Hart was a shock to her relatives and many friends here today. A message was received this morning from Bovena, Texas, announcing her death. The particulars were not obtained here today, the message simply stated that Mrs. Hart was in an autombile accident yesterday afternoon and died this morning at 1:04 o'clock.

Mrs. William Jack of South F street, her mother, left for Bovena, this morning. Her sisters, Mrs. Fred Touchstone, Mrs. Maude Sharp, of Winfield, her brother, Floyd Jack and brother-in-law, Fred Touchstone will go to Amarillo, Texas, this evening and the funeral will take place there Thursday. At this time funeral arrangements are not complete but it is thought that burial will take place in Amarillo.

Mrs. Hart was the wife of Fred Hart, roadmaster for the Santa Fe at Bovena, Texas. She and Mr Hart were united in marriage at Wellington about a year ago. She is a former Arkansas City girl and before her marriage was Miss Goldie Jack. When she resided here she was in the employ of the A.C. Produce Co., and the last few months of her residence here was office girl for Dr. R.L. Baker. She was a member of the local A.O.U.W. lodge.
