Carol E. Krueger, age 79 formerly of Two Rivers died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Harbor View Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Carol was born a twin to a sister at home in the farm house on August 26, 1942 in Pilsen, Wisconsin, daughter of the late George and Helen (Hoffman) Fabian. This was just after the United States entered into World War II. Carol and her twin sister had a very low birth weight and that may explain the health problems that plagued them all their lives. She attended schools in Kewaunee graduating with the class of 1960 from Kewaunee High School.

On September 30, 1961 Carol married Ronald Krueger in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2012. In the past, the couple bought a farm house in the country near Larrabee. In 1968 the opportunity to buy the rest of the hobby farm came up and they bought it. They remodeled the farm house and farmed the seventy-five acres with old two-cylinder John Deeres. In 1979 they planted 40 acres of oats and when the time came, they all went out and threshed all of it. It took about two weeks to finish and Carol made all the meals and did all the cleaning during that time for the crew. She was a hard worker and worked outside the home at various places. The farm still remains in the family and is still being farmed with the old John Deeres.

Carol enjoyed raising her chicks, watching them grow when she lived on the farm. Later in life her social life revolved around her church. Carol was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Two Rivers Congregation.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy (Michael) Robinson, Two Rivers, Gayle (Scott) Koenig, Valders; one grandson: Andrew Hernandez, San Antonio, TX; twin sister: Joann Dedic, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: June Fabian, Two Rivers, Mary Ann Fabian, Two Rivers, other relatives and friends also survived. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ronald Krueger; two brothers: Richard Fabian, Gerald Fabian; one nephew: Eric; one niece: Kim; special friend: Angie Herrmann.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 via Zoom. Questions in regards to participate in the Zoom service please contact the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home.
