Richard Asmundson went to be with the Lord January 17, 2022. He was surrounded with the love of his family. He was best known in San Gabriel Valley as the owner of Dick's Shoe Repair in La Puente. Richard loved going to work everyday, his integrity and good nature kept the business going for 53 years. Richard was very giving of his time and talents at the West Covina Elks Lodge and was always helping the women at the Baldwin Park Woman's Club. Richard taught his family and friends how to love and never expect anything in return. Most of all he loved his family deeply. His support and encouragement was felt and appreciated by all. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, his wonderful daughter and son-in-law, 4 grand-daughters, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many many friends. Preceded in death by both parents, brother's Walter and John Asmundson and son Randy Asmundson. Services will be held at: Forest Lawn Covina Hills 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724 Visitation: Friday February 25, 2022 from 2-6PM Funeral: Saturday February 26, 2022 at 2:30PM
