Mary Lou Pittman, 72, Kokomo, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Howard Regional Health System, Kokomo. She was born Nov. 2, 1935, to William and Bessie (Hart) Elliott. On Dec. 22, 1954, in Marion County, Ky., she married Carl Pittman.

Mary Lou was employed at Howard Community Hospital in 1965 in housekeeping. She enjoyed her grandchildren and walking them to the mall, she loved to play the guitar and go fishing. She never knew a stranger and she was a huge Elvis fan.

She is survived by daughters, Frances Andreas, Kokomo, Mike and wife Lisa Pittman, Galveston, Ferna Miller, Kokomo, and Carla McCombs, Kokomo; sons, William Carl and wife Debbie Pittman, Tennessee, Harold and wife Dee Dee Pittman, Kokomo, Jerry and wife Sandy Pittman, Kokomo, and Allen Pittman, Kokomo; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and former husband Carl Pittman..

Services are noon Wednesday at Murray Weaver Funeral Home Galveston Chapel, with the Rev. Nettie Evans officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery, Galveston. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with burial expenses.
