The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Isabella Cemetery. The Rev. Carl Barnhardt will officiate.
Mr. Beck was born on April 26, 1936 Putnam Hall, FL., to the late Lawrence and Effie Maude Patrick Beck. He had lived in Worth County since 1976 and was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force during both, Vietnam and Korean War. Mr. Beck was retired from Miller Brewing Company in Albany, where he worked in the maintenance department. He enjoyed fishing, working on his rod and reels and going to the Flea Market. Mr. Beck loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion and he attended the Pointe United Methodist Church in Lee County.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Nellie Beck of Worth County; children, Kelly Hawthorne (Tim), Cindi Parton, Diane Beck, Ronnie Beck (Karen),Karen Mayton (Steven), Cheryl Conway (Don), Darrell Beck (Dianne), and Rhonda Murphy. 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Beck (Ella Mae).
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
