"Marjorie Louise Pirtle, 87, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday September 2, 2009 at North Kansas City Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, at the Chapel. She was born December 7, 1921 in California, MO. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 4050 in North Kansas City. Mom enjoyed fishing and camping. It wasn't past her to slip down to the boats once in awhile. She lived her life to the fullest with her family always by her side. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband Lyman Clayton Pirtle; son Roger Guyer; brothers Stanley and Leroy Banes. She is survived by daughter Carol Johnson and husband Ron; daughter Bonnie Nolen and husband William; daughter Barbara Martin and husband Ted; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northland Hospice." The Kansas City Star, September 6, 2009
