Miss Hildreth Bauquier Becomes Bride of Carl V. Torson
The marriage of Miss Hildreth Bauquier and Carl V. Torson was solemized in Sacramento at high noon on Sunday, February 15, 1925. The marriage service was read by Rev. Thomas of Newcastle, and the only witnesses to the quiet wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barkhaus, mutual friends of the contracting parties. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served by Mr. and Mrs. Barkhaus. Mr. and Mrs. Torson departed Sunday evening on a week's honeymoon trip to Los Angeles. On their return they will be at home to their friends in one of the cozy bungalows in Bowyer court. Both Mr. and Mrs. Torson are well known, popular and highly esteemed young people of Roseville.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bauquier of Lincoln, former residents of this city. She graduated from the Roseville Union High school in 1922. She afterward attended business college in Sacramento and has been an employee of the Tribune for some months.
The groom is a son of Mrs. H. Torson, formerly of Truckee, and the past six years has been employed in one of the offices of the Southern Pacific company in this city. (Roseville Tribune and Register, Roseville, California, Wednesday, 18 Feb 1925, page 2)
