Lyle L. Spiering, age 85, of 2220 12th St. Two Rivers, died Wednesday morning, February 24, 1999, at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers.

Private Family Funeral Services were held at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, with Rev. David Arndt officiating. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

He was born December 27, 1913, at Two Rivers, son of the late Frank and Augusta Hedtke Spiering. On November 20, 1937, he married the former Ione Tomchek, at Two Rivers. Lyle was a superintendent in the Aluminum Cookware Division of Mirro Aluminum retiring in 1980. He was a lifetime member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Men's Club, Mirro Management Club, Kiwanis Silver K, and the Fish and Game Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ione, Two Rivers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Carol Spiering, Green Bay, Lee and Connie Spiering, Dry Ridge, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, George and Jan Liebich, Two Rivers, William and Thelma Mulich, Butte, Mont., Edwin Holdorff, Manitowoc. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister-in-law, Norman and Carmajean Spiering; and one sister, Joyce Holdorff.

The family thanks the staff and patients of Hamilton Memorial Home, their care and love will never be forgotten.

Although your journey through life has been shadowed by many difficult obstacles, you have faced them bravely and cheerfully. Fear no more for the path ahead is straight and very bright, for the comfort you desire will always be yours. God Bless.
