Carl was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a carpenter in commercial construction and a member of Local #92 in St. Louis, MO, since 1948. He was a member of the Woodturners Association of St. Louis. Carl also loved sailing, mostly in Carlyle Lake. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, J. Elaine "Grammy" Hacker, nee Casey; and his parents, Elmer and Gertrude, nee Ritchie Hacker.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Hal Santos officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
