Passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2022, at the age of 59.

Dean grew up in Lansing, Michigan and graduated from Sexton High School. He was committed to his roles in the US Air Force as Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard at Selfridge ANGB. During his more than 30 years of service as a jet engine mechanic, Dean worked on several airframes including B-52 Stratofortress, A-7 Corsair, and F-16 Fighting Falcons with the 127th Aerospace Propulsion Shop. He later became a work leader for the TF34 Turbo Fan jet engine, used on the A-10 Thunderbolt. Dean traveled out of the country for multiple deployments including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Beyond his mechanic role in the US Air Force, there was nothing he was unable to repair. He was reliable and devoted to helping his friends and family complete any project and could bring laughter to any situation.

After retirement, Dean enjoyed the extra time he was able to spend with his wife Bonnie, family and friends at their cabin in northern Michigan on the Rifle River. He had many hobbies including horseshoes, hunting, repairing anything with an engine, spending time with his Labrador Retriever Zeus, caring for his property and cabin up north, and relaxing at the Rifle River surrounded by family, friends and sunshine.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Daggett and Nancy (Drake) Daggett and sister Brinda Daggett. Dean is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Cory, stepsons Josh and Jake and brothers Larry and Dale. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. We do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
